As the sun sets and the night sky glows
I am hoping the gloomy mood disappears And just the happy memories remain I am locked in this cage of desperation A house full of ambition and opportunities Yet this is a prison I cannot escape For when I look outside, it seems darker I cannot go where I was I do not know where I would go This is my prison And this prison is my temple, my church, my stupa, and my mosque Part 1
After a long day at work, bodies tired, mind a bit fried The bus station was a bit farther, so decided Train will save me some time Slowly walked towards the station, the road was pretty dark Heard crying coming from one of the houses None of my concern, I just kept moving on I was at the city hospital. My friend and I were in an accident. I was hurt a little but my friend was injured badly. After a couple of days, I was feeling a lot better and was able to walk around. My friend was still unconscious most of the time so I decided to stay at the hospital for a few more days, at least until he was a little better.
It was around 4 am. I suddenly was wide awake. It was still dark outside, and the hospital was still pretty quiet. I felt a bit thirsty, so decided to check if the hospital canteen was open so that I could get something to eat. We were on the 4th floor so I slowly woke up and walked towards the elevator. My luck, the elevator was not on. For a moment, I decided to go back to bed, but I was already awake and had to eat something. So, slowly I walked towards the stair, and there I saw her. It was a Sunday morning. I was still in my bed when I heard crowd noises in front of my house. I was pretty sure something had happened so I got up and peeked out the window. There was a large crowd in front of the coffee shop and could see people whispering to each other. I couldn't properly see what had happened so I rushed out.
After about a week, I was getting ready to go to work. It was almost 9 so I was pretty much in a rush. I got out of the house, rushed to work. As I passed the coffee shop by my house, I saw the same man as last week standing in the same spot in front of the shop. Immediately, my eyes were drawn to his shoes. Those were the same bright shiny shoes that I saw last week. I realized I had been staring at his shoes for like 5 seconds. So, I slowly turned my head towards the road. As I was turning, I realized the man was staring at me. I was pretty much scared shitless. Without looking back for a second, I started walking very fast.
It finally stopped raining after 3 days of continuous downpour. The sun finally peeked out of the clouds and was smiling. The streets started getting busier. People seemed in rush
Dreams. Oh! such a simple word. The word in itself doesn't feel all that important but once you look deeper into its soul, there you will find its power, its magic. It is what makes you happy when you're sad, it is what picks you up when you're down. I cannot explain the true power it holds with a bunch of words, it is something that you feel, something that gives your whole life a meaning.
